Nellie E. Bomersback

Nellie E. Bomersback, 93, of Huntington, passed away Sunday March 7, 2010, at 6:22 am at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She graduated from Wadena High School and St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis. She was a registered nurse and owned Frank’s Superette in Andrews. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington.
Nellie was born July 16, 1916 in Lochiel, Indiana, the daughter of Joe and Anna (Funk) Stone. On June 16, 1941 she married Frank J. Bomersback in Fowler, Indiana and he passed away February 11, 1985. She is survived by a son Tom Bomersback of Fort Wayne, 2 daughters Patricia (David) Lindquist of Fort Wayne and Jane (Roger) Speicher of Wabash, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 11, from 4-8 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, with a Rosary service at 6:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be Friday March 12 at 11 am at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, with Father Ron Rieder officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
