By Rick Henly on Monday, March 29th, 2010

I thought it necessary to respond to last week's report on my budget adjustments by the news media. I was unable to attend the Council's meeting on March 22; I was in Indianapolis with my Daughter Tara who has most probably suffered a college career-ending injury to her right hand... Read More...

Unhappy with election signage

By Rick Henly on Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Dear Editor,

NOT appreciating the litter found in my front yard over the past week…If you want people to vote for you the LEAST you could do is hang your “vote for me” signs on front doors, not strewn all over front lawns, found 3 Friday, nowhere near our front door.  Guess what?  If you litter in my yard, you ain’t gettin’ my vote!

Thanks and farewell to the community

By Rick Henly on Friday, March 5th, 2010

Dear Editor,

Since January of 2003, it has been my honor to lead the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce as its president, said Robert “Bob” Brown. In that capacity I have had the honor to work side by side with the best that our community has to offer in all sectors. We have had successes such as the Super Wal-Mart, Peebles, and Erie-Haven Concrete just to name a few... Read More...

Not happy with the Herald-Press

By Rick Henly on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Dear Editor,

I subscribe to the Herald Press-paying $117.00 year for a newspaper that is not quite 15 pages-including Sundays. I have decided after today I will no longer renew my subscription because practically every day it makes my stomach turn after reading the articles it contains.
