HUMS gives up goal in 81st minute

Playing in their last regular season home match, the HU men’s soccer team gave up a goal in the 81st minute to drop a 1-0 decision to the University of Saint Francis Wednesday afternoon at King Stadium.

Foresters take Taylor to five sets

Up against one of the top teams in the league, the Forester volleyball team stretched the match to five sets before dropping a 3-2 decision to the Trojans of Taylor University, 25-12, 19-25, 25-14, 22-25, 15-10, Wednesday night at Odle Gymnasium.

After experiencing six overtime contests without a win, the Forester women’s soccer team finally enjoyed a much-deserved 1-0 OT win over the University of Saint Francis Wednesday night under the lights at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium.

Vikings knock off Jeff

Vikings hosted Lafayette Jefferson on Friday night to wrap up the regular season on senior night. The Vikings continued their good play of late knocking off Jeff for their third win in a row and finishing the regular season 5-4, 4-2 in the ncc.

Adam Woods racked up 173 on 29 carries including touchdown runs of 1 and 15 yards behind the Viking line of who imposed their will on the Broncos as the Vikings built a lead then hung on for the 31-15 victory... Read More...

The Goshen College Maple Leafs (11-9, 6-6) won in straight sets, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23, at Platt Arena Wednesday night to hand the Huntington volleyball team its tenth loss in conference play and complete the two-game sweep over Coach Settle and crew. Beaver named to Big Guns Classic

Freshman middle blocker Josie Beaver had a big weekend at the St. Francis (IL) Big Guns Classic and for her efforts was one of six players to be named to the All-Tournament Team.

The rookie from Huntington North, currently ranked 5th in the nation in blocks per game (1.32), was her team’s spark plug at the net where she recorded 40 kills and 25 blocks over four matches... Read More...

The concern of the Vikings travelling to Marion on Friday night was letting the Giants gain some confidence. They have some athletes and they have some speed but have struggled to have much success on the football field.

The Crossroads League announced its 2014 Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team and among the list of honorees were Huntington University sophomore Morgan Bemisderfer and freshman Constanze Golz.

In their first Tier I tournament of the season, the Forester bowling teams made the first ever trip to the Midwest Collegiate Championships this weekend at AMF Bowlero.
