Foresters Knock Off Purdue Cal

In a battle between two of the top teams in the nation, the 19th-ranked Huntington women’s basketball team knocked off 10th-ranked Purdue Calumet 88-75 Saturday night at Platt Arena.  It marks the Peregrines (4-1) first loss of the season while HU improves to 4-1.

HU Defends HOF Tourney Title

The #RV HU men’s basketball team (6-1) successfully defended their Ness Bros. Hall of Fame Tournament title Saturday afternoon with a thrilling 75-68 win over Asbury University (5-1) at Platt Arena. Last year the Foresters beat IU East 102-76 in the championship game for the 2013 title.

HU Downs Ohio Christian

Behind Daniel Woll’s 14 second half points, the #RV HU men’s basketball team (5-1) pulled away in the final nine minutes to enjoy an 86-71 win over Ohio Christian University (3-2) in Friday night action of the Ness Bros. Hall of Fame tournament at Platt Arena.

7&8 Flag Football Champions coached by Jason Lewis and Ryan Lewis.  The Saints had a great year.  In the championship game they defeated a previously undefeated Jets team 22 to 6.

Lady Eagles win Opening Game

For the fourth consecutive year, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Huntington University has been named a recipient of the Champions of Character Five Star Award for the 2013-14 school year.

One of 168 institutions, HU received the award based on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earned points in each of the following categories: character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion... Read More...

HUMS wins inaugral JV soccer tournament

The Huntington JV soccer team went undefeated at 4-0 to win the first ever Crossroads League Reserve Tournament hosted by Bethel College at the Kroc Center over the weekend.

Playing their third game in four days, the Forester men’s basketball team held on for a 65-52 win over Holy Cross College (0-1) Monday night to remain unblemished on the season at 3-0.

It was the first outing of the year for the Saints and the Foresters made sure to take advantage of their first game jitters by turning a one-point deficit into a 22-point lead within a five-minute span that featured a 10-for-12 shooting performance from the field... Read More...
