HU Baseball Takes Down IWU 9-4

The 2nd-seeded Forester baseball team (25-14) started their climb out of the consolation bracket Monday afternoon with a 9-4 win over 6th-seeded Indiana Wesleyan (24-30) at Forest Glen. 3 Foresters Named to All-Tournament Team

The Crossroads League announced its 2015 Softball All-Tournament Team and among the 16-player list were three Foresters.

Forester Softball Season Ends With Loss

The hunt for a conference tournament title and repeat trip to nationals came to an end Friday afternoon for the 5th-seeded HU softball team as they suffered a 10-4 loss to 3rd-seeded Taylor in an elimination game at Marian University.

Women`s Tennis Ends With Win Over Grace

The Forester women`s tennis team closed out the year much like it started with a win over Grace College Thursday afternoon at Miller Field. HU opened up its fall season with a 5-4 win over the Lancers and this time around it was a 6-3 decision over their league foes.

After winning their first two games of the Crossroads League tournament, the 5th-seeded HU softball team came up on the short end of a 5-1 contest against 2nd-seeded Indiana Wesleyan (46-10) on day two of the league play-offs to drop into the loser`s bracket.

The Crossroads League announced its softball postseason awards for the 2015 spring season and for the second consecutive year, junior Katie DePew earned All-Conference honors.

The Forester baseball team (24-13, 19-7) wrapped up their regular season Tuesday night by splitting with Taylor University at Winterholter Field. It was a frustrating day of golf for the Foresters as they shot a 662 (341, 321) at the Indiana Wesleyan Spring Invitational to finish last among a field of seven teams on Monday at Meshingomesia Country Club in Marion (Ind.).

Forester Baseball Swept Grace College

The Huntington baseball team locked in the #2 seed for the league tournament by sweeping the Lancers of Grace College (13-30, 6-20) at Forest Glen Park on Monday. The Foresters hung on for a 5-3 in the opener before shutting out GC 3-0 in game two.

The Forester golf team headed up north to play in Calvin College`s Knight Invitational on Tuesday at Pilgrim`s Run Golf Club where they finished sixth out of nine teams.

A late-game rally came up one run short as the Forester baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Bethel College in Tuesday`s opener before bouncing back for a 6-2 win in the nightcap at Forest Glen.

Six Foresters collected first place finishes at the HU track and field invitational on Saturday where the women claimed third and the men finished fourth. 

Jake Nash earned two golds to pace the men`s team. He established a new PR in high jump with a leap of 6`9.25 to not only blow away the competition on Saturday but also establish himself as the best high jumper in school history... Read More...
