Forester men dominate Spartan Classic

The Forester men’s track & field team dominated the Spartan Classic hosted by Manchester University Thursday afternoon with seven top finished while the HU women also had a strong showing that included three first place finishes.

HU baseball tears through April

The Forester baseball team continued their tear through April by picking up a pair of wins at Indiana Wesleyan University, 9-6, 8-4, Thursday afternoon at Wildcat Field. HU has posted 11 wins against just three losses during the month of April to improve to 19-19 overall, 13-11 in league play.

HU softball splits with Grace

As the softball season winds down, it’s only fitting that HU’s three seniors, all of whom have made significant contributions to the program over the last four years, won their last regular season home game Thursday night. Forester baseball dominates Taylor

The Forester baseball team picked up two big wins, 4-3, 8-5, over Taylor University (23-17, 15-7) Wednesday afternoon at Forest Glen Park to move into 5th in the league standings while their visitors dropped to 3rd.

4th annual HU Men’s Golf Outing

Norwood Golf Club will host a summer golf outing to benefit the Huntington University men’s golf program on Saturday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m.  Cost is $65 per person or $260 per foursome and includes green fees, cart rental, lunch and door prizes.

HU struggles at Taylor Spring Invite

For the second time this season, the harsh weather conditions forced a shortened golf invitational for the Foresters. This time around, it was the Taylor University spring invitational at Purdue’s Kampen Course in West Lafayette that was cut a day short.

Golf outing to benefit HU basketball

The women’s basketball team will be hosting their 7th annual spring golf outing at LaFontaine Golf Club on Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m.  Funds raised from the event will go toward scholarships for the program. The Forester softball team dominated Indiana Wesleyan University 9-1 in Friday’s opener at Huntington and then went on to outlast the Wildcats 11-8 in the nightcap. With this sweep, HU moves to 18-11 overall, 11-5 in league action.

HU finishes strong to place 7th at Pilot

After shooting a 320 on Friday, the HU golf team shot a 315 on day two of the Pilot Spring Invitational hosted by Bethel College to move up a spot in the standings to finish 7th out of 16 teams.

Playing in their second match of the spring season, the HU men’s tennis team had their hands full against Division I foe IPFW (17-7) Saturday afternoon. The Foresters lost 9-0 to drop to 11-6 on the year.

Squaring off against Marian University for the second time this season, the Forester softball team split with the Knights down in Indy to wrap up the season series 2-2 and move to 16-11 overall, 9-5 in league play.
