HU Softball Drops a Pair to Marian U.

The HU softball team remains on the hunt for their first league win as they dropped a pair of games, 2-1, 8-0, to Marian University (13-3, 6-0) Wednesday afternoon at the MU Softball Field. Forester BBall Splits with Mount Vernon

The weather finally cooperated enough for the Forester baseball team (4-7, 1-1) and Mount Vernon Cougars (10-6, 1-1) to open up league play at Cougar Field Wednesday afternoon where each team logged a win. HU Track and Field Open Outdoor Season

The Huntington track and field teams opened their outdoor season over spring break by competing in the Wake Forest Open. Competing against mostly NCAA Division I athletes from schools such as Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Ohio, Wright State, Notre Dame and Miami (Ohio), Brooks Gerke turned in the Foresters` top performance by tying for second in pole vault with a PR mark of 13`11... HU Softball Team Plays All Weekend

Less than 24 hours after returning from Arizona, the HU softball team (3-9, 0-4) jumped into league play where they dropped back-to-back doubleheaders to Indiana Wesleyan (21-2, 4-0) and Mount Vernon (5-6, 2-0) over the weekend.

In a game that featured a combined nine hits and five errors, it was the Wildcats who came up with the 4-3 win in the opener on Friday before mounting an impressive comeback in the nightcap to claim a 6-5 victory for the sweep... Read More...

HU Baseball Finishes Up Florida Tourney

The Huntington baseball team ended their time in the sunshine state on a high note by winning their last two contests against Trinity Baptist College (Fla.) on Friday to improve to 3-6 overall.

HU Softball in Spring Break Tournament

The Forester softball team (3-5) spent their spring break at the Tucson Invitational where they got off to a slow 1-5 start before logging two wins at the tail end of their time in Arizona.

Miranda Palmer Earns All American Honors

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2014-15 Division II Women`s Basketball All-America teams and among the list of honorees was Huntington University sophomore Miranda Palmer.

HU Finishes USBC Sectional

Playing in the USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectional this past weekend in Smyrna (Tenn.), the Forester women`s bowling team made a run for one of the four advancing spots to the national finals, but just fell just short in the last two Baker games to finish 6th out of 16 teams.

It was exciting from start to finish at the Smyrna Bowling Center as the HU team of Rachel Vogler, Shelby New, Ayla Yeiter, Emerald Leong, Emily O`Leary and Brooke Ewing spent all weekend vying for a bid to nationals and after 60 Baker games, Coach Bischoff`s clan was one of four teams competing for the final two spots... HU Baseball Goes 1-2 In Tournament

The Forester baseball team posted its first win of the season, a 7-2 decision, on Sunday against Cornell University (N.Y) on opening day of the Russ/Matt Tournament in Lakeland, Fla.

After cancelling their first seven doubleheaders due to inclement weather, the HU baseball team (0-2) finally kicked off the season by hosting Madonna University at Grand Park (Westfield, Ind.) on March 11. WOMEN`S BASKETBALL
A sluggish second half spelled disaster for the 5th-seeded HU women`s basketball team at the 2015 NAIA National Tournament on Thursday as they bowed out, 63-54, in the opening round to 4th-seeeded College of Saint Mary (Neb.).

HNHS`s Hunter Hollowell Sets Record

Hunter Hollowell set the HNHS single season record for made 3 pointers w/ 67, breaking Kalvin Miller`s previous single season record of 58 in 2012-13   The 43 point loss vs. Homestead was the 2nd worst in HNHS history (the worst HNHS loss was a 44 point loss to Muncie South in 2003 – 72-28)
