Huntington battled Norwell Friday night, hoping to hand Norwell there 5 loss. Norwell scored first but Huntington came back and tied the game with 4:21 to go in first quarter. The Vikings went into half time ahead 17 - 12.

The Huntington North Lady Viking and Viking bowling teams, both sectional champion a week ago, advanced to the Muncie Semi-State this Saturday. Both teams finished third in the top four at the Fort Wayne semi-state at Pro Bowl West Saturday afternoon.

Lancers top Foresters

Recognized in the latest NAIA national poll as two evenly matched teams tied for the 19th spot, Grace College (17-8, 7-4) was the better team Thursday night as the Lancers handed the Foresters of Huntington University (18-7, 6-5) a 81-72 loss at the Orthopaedic Capital Center.

HU complete the sweep against Grace

The HU women's basketball team (14-9, 6-5) completed a sweep over the Lancers of Grace College (12-12, 3-8) on Thursday night with a 60-53 win at the Merillat Complex.
 
Despite Grace's hot hand behind the arc, the Foresters never trailed in the first twenty minutes.  The Lancers knocked down six-of-eight treys in the first half but HU outscored them in the paint 16-4 and converted 11 Lancer turnovers into ten points to hold a slight 32-29 advantage at halftime... The HNHS gymnastics team will not be going to Homestead tonight.  This has not be rescheduled.

The TEAM wrestling for tonight has been moved to Tuesday, February 8 at Logansport.
