Mother Nature had not wanted Crestview girls and Southern Wells to play this year. After rescheduling because of questionable weather for the second time, Tuesday evening finally basketball was played. Much to Crestview's happiness, both teams played well. In the 7th grade game, the final score was 30-26. Ariene Butler led the way with 12 pts adn 10 rebounds, Kylie Kaylor had 7 pts, Aubrie Eckert 6 pts, Maddi Houser 3 pts and 10 rebounds and Kelsey Vogleman 2 pts. This game ups the Lady Cougars record to 4-4.
The 8th grade game started off with a bang, a very motivated bunch of 8th grade girls took the court. Immediately they took off and running to a 16-0 first quarter lead and then coasted to the final score of 39-20. Ellie Lawson celebrated her birthday with 11 pts, Hannah Williams knocked down 10, Marissa Jamison and Emma Landrum pitched in 6, and Courtney Coffman, Jessica Kaufman, and Madi Canady each had 2 pts to finish off the scoring for the 4-4 Lady Cougars.
Both teams are back in action on Thursday at Churubusco Middle School at 5:00.
