The Lady Vikings also rolled their best game of the season as they also defeated the Bellmont Lady Braves 19-1 at Villa Lanes in Decatur. Bowling without senior Ayla Yeiter who was in the Huntington North Variety Show, and bowling at Villa Lanes for the first time in four years, game one was tough for the Lady Vikes, beating Bellmont but rolling just 748 against their 599. Alyssa Prickett led the Lady Vikes with 171 followed by Alex Rittenhouse with 165. Liz Conley added 152, Eleni Newsome 146 and Ashley Clark had 114.
Game two was a different story for the Lady Vikes rolled 982 as Newsome had 242, Prickett 208, Rittenhouse 198, Conley 192 and Clark 142 for a 982 team game. Bellmont had 569 in game two. The 982 team game is the third highest girl’s team game rolled in Indiana this season. Coach Stacey Bischoff said the second game was great adjustment and effort, but we have work to do to keep games like the first one from happening. The Lady Vikings team average is 852. The Lady Vikings next match is against South Adams next Wednesday in Portland, also at 5:00pm.
Next week, Indiana High School Bowling releases its first top ten rankings of the season. Rankings are based on team average.
