Viking golfers continue to play well shooting a 167 to North Sides 188 on Thursday. Luke Smith had the low round for the Vikings firing a 39.

Viking golfers down Eastbrook

Eastbrook came to town to take on the Vikings at LaFontain Golf course and the Vikings were ready.  Zac Tackett fired a 36 for medalist honors leading the Vikings to a team total 159 to Eastbrooks 181 and the 5-1 victory. Viking golfers take fifth

The Vikings golf team finished 5th with a 325 in the 18 team field Culver Invitational. Warsaw took the title with a 305. Warsaw’s Tyler Ostrom’s 70 paced the field.

Huntington was paced by Jordan Sweet who was tied in 10th with a 79, Zac Tackett’s  81 for 21st, Grant Meese’s 82 in 24th, Like Smith’s 83 in 28th place and Sebastian Eckert’s 93 good for 68th... Read More...

Golfers battle in Rochester Invitational

The Huntington North golf team took 8th out of a 15 team field at the Rochester Invitational Golf Tournament on April 28th. The Vikings were paced by Jordan Sweet’s 84 while Brad Gray from Lewis Cass blistered the course with a 69 leading Cass to the tiltle.

Foresters finish fourth

It wasn’t exactly how the Foresters had scripted it as they sat in fourth after shooting a 303 in first round action of the MCC Golf Championships at Orchard Ridge Country Club (Fort Wayne, Ind.). Viking golfers down Manchester

The Viking golf team moved to 2-0 on the season with a solid victory over Manchester. The Vikings Jordan Sweet’s 37 paced the Vikings 158-179 victory. The Vikings JV squad also moved to 2-0 with a 185-276 victory with Race Newsome leading the way with a 43.

Viking golfers take invitational

Huntingon North golf won their invitational on April 21st. The Vikings took the team tital with a 315 defeating Pendleton Heights and Culver Academy.  The Vikings Jordan Sweet posted the low score of the day with a 76 followed by team mate Luke Smith’s 77.

HU dominate Spring Arbor Invitational

It was an impressive day of golf for Huntington as they dominated the Spring Arbor University Invitational Thursday to bring home the title by shooting a season low 576.

HU Takes Second at Malone Invitational

Playing at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio, over the weekend, the Huntington golf team shot an impressive 589 to finish second at the Malone University Spring Invitational.

HU Finishes 11th at NAIA Classic

Up against some of the steepest competition in the nation, the Forester golf team finished 11th out of 17 teams at the annual NAIA Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan Univeristy at the Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis April 9-10.

Forester Golf Team Places Second

After posting a 79 on Friday, Jordan Dawes bounced back to shoot a 72 on day two to finish second overall and guide the Forester golf team to a second place finish at the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Invitational at Meshingomesia Country Club over the weekend.

HNHS Boys Golf Tryouts

HNHS Boys Golf Tryouts will begin on Monday, March 12 and continue through Wednesday March 14 at Lafontaine Golf Club

Tryouts will begin at 3:30pm on all 3 days

(Last approx. 2 hours)

9 holes of golf will be played on all 3 of those days

2 cuts will be made on those 3 days of tryouts

·       1st cut – March 12

·       Final cut – March 14

(Proper equipment and appropriate golf attire are required for tryouts)

Parent/player meeting will be held on Thursday, March 15 at Lafontaine Golf Club following practice at 6pm for the players that make the 2011-12 roster and parent(s)
