Kids Kampus Turkey Trot A Success

The sixth annual Turkey Trot 5K run and Family Fun Walk took place Thanksgiving morning at McDonald's in Huntington. The event had 511 participants in the 5K run/walk, and 71 participants in the fun walk, and raised over $9,000 for the Pathfinder Kids Kampus Scholarship fund.

Ronald McDonald started runners out at 8:00 AM at McDonalds on 60 Home Street in Huntington, and the runners ran past Pathfinder Kids Kampus child care center, through Huntington University, turned around at Parkview Huntington Hospital, and returned to McDonald's... Read More...

Heritage 5K run scheduled for June 19

This year's annual Heritage Days 5K run is scheduled for Saturday, June 19th starting at Kreigbaum Field.

The entry fee is $10 - Adult, $8 - 18-under, Family (up to four members) - $20.

Indy Mini-Marathon

On May 8th, seventy-one runners from Huntington, twenty-nine from Roanoke, three from Markle and five from Warren competed in the Indy Mini-Marathon. On Saturday, nearly 300 hundred runners lined up for the start of the Discover Roanoke 5K/10K Run/Walk. Johnson wins 'Turkey Trot'

The fifth annual Turkey Trot 5K run and Family Fun Walk took place today (Thanksgiving) at McDonald's in Huntington.  The event had over 334 running participants in the run and 53 participated in the fun walk, and they raised over $5,500 for the Pathfinder Kids Kampus Scholarship Fund.

Huntington natives excel in Chicago

Eight Huntington natives competed along with 45,000 other runners in the Bank of Chicago Marathon this morning.  The runners battled sub-freezing temperatures at the race start, and a fairly strong breeze to finish one of the largest marathons in the United States.  The race was won by 2008 Olympic Marathon Champion Sammy Wanjiru in a course record time of 2:05:41 (which is a record for the fastest marathon ever run on US soil)...
