The double elimination tournament wrapped up the season for Roanoke Youth Sports’ 11-14 Soccer program. The championship game featured a match-up between Automatic Door Controls and Frederick’s Photography. Frederick’s Photography wore down Automatic Door Controls to win the game by a score of 4-1, but great plays were common and there were plenty of displays of good sportsmanship by both teams.
The two teams made it to the championship game by navigating the tournament bracket filled with teams sponsored by the Roanoke Tractor Pullers Association, Builder’s Mart, and SPU Construction. Look for many of the players in the tournament to make significant contributions on their respective high school soccer teams in the near future.
Roanoke Youth Sports is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing area youth with opportunities to participate in baseball, tee-ball, softball, and soccer. This year, over 340 youth played on RYS soccer teams. Roanoke Youth Sports’ Board of Directors sincerely thanks the sponsors, coaches, parents, and the Roanoke Park Board for their assistance over the season.
