The single elimination tournament wrapped up the season for Roanoke Youth Sports’ 6-7 Soccer program. The championship game was an exciting match-up between Nelsons’ Farm Produce and Bippus State Bank. Bippus State Bank jumped out to an early lead, but Nelsons’ Farm Produce came back and eventually won the game. Both teams and their supporters displayed wonderful energy, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm; a real testament to what recreational youth sports are all about.
The other 6-7 year old teams in the tournament included United Realty, Edward Jones – David Groholski, Clounie Landscaping, and TriCore Logic.
Roanoke Youth Sports is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing area youth with opportunities to participate in baseball, tee-ball, softball, and soccer. This year, over 340 youth played on RYS soccer teams. Roanoke Youth Sports’ Board of Directors sincerely thanks the sponsors, coaches, parents, and the Roanoke Park Board for their assistance over the season.
