Special Olympics Benefit May 14th

Moose Lodge #837 will be hosting a benefit for the Huntington County Special Olympics from 4:30-7:30PM on Saturday, May 14. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.25 for children under 12. The menu consists of an all-you-can-eat Italian pasta bar featuring Spaghetti and Meatballs, Fettuccini Alfredo, Salad and Breadsticks. For desert there will be bake sale items available for purchase.
Proceeds from the event will help to defray entry fees for the Special Olympics Indiana Summer Games that will take place at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana June 3-5.
The LBD Trio, featuring Huntington North High School graduates and Varsity Singers Alumni, Lisa (Jones) Mertz, Barb (Hartle) Jones, and Doug Hartle, will perform an hour of rich jazz, swing, big band and classic standards featuring high energy vocal harmonies. The LBD Trio takes the stage at 6:30.
To coincide with the pasta bar, the Huntington County Sheriff Department, the Huntington City Police Department and the Parkview EMS will be participating in a fun run. The run begins at 3:30 pm from the Huntington County Courthouse and ends at the Moose Lodge.
