Khudziy and Velez take 5th at Nationals

It was an action-packed week of tennis for sophomore Vlad Khudziy and senior Augusto Velez who earned automatic bids to the 2011 ITA Small College National Championships  at Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama on October 13-16.

HU tennis wraps up fall season

The Forester women’s tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule with back-to-back home matches on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Against Anderson University on Tuesday, HU grabbed wins at the top of the line-up but dropped a 3-6 decisions to the Ravens.

The Mid-Central Conference (MCC) announced its post-season awards for the 2011-12 men’s tennis season and earning an All-Conference spot for the second year in a row was sophomore Vlad Khudziy and senior Augusto Velez.

The Mid-Central Conference (MCC) announced its post-season awards for the 2011-12 women’s tennis season and senior Haley Neiderhiser (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was among the list of All-Conference honorees for the fourth consecutive year.

HU finishes fifth in MCC regular season

Playing two MCC matches over the weekend, the Forester men’s tennis team went 1-1 to finish fifth in conference play.

Lancers top Foresters 7-2

The rainy weather didn’t stop the Forester women’s tennis team from going head-to-head with Grace College Thursday afternoon at Pine Ridge Racquet and Fitness Club in Fort Wayne but unfortunately the outcome didn’t favor HU as the Lancers picked up the 7-2 win.
