Khudziy named NAIA 2nd Team All-American

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Men's Tennis All-Americans and for the second time in as many years, Huntington University sophomore Vlad Khudziy was among the list of honorees. Vikings dropped in Sectional final

The Viking tennis team fell in the Sectional final 2-3. Taryn Wuennsch won the number one singles match and the number one double team of Jericho Parrett and Macy Phillips also won their match. Parrett and Phillips move on to regional play on Wednesday at Homestead.

Viking Tennis defeats Blufton

Viking tennis defeated Blufton on Wednesday 4-1. Winners for the Vikings were Taryn Wuensch (6-3,6-0), Haley Bruemleve (6-0,6-1), Megan Leedy (6-1,6-3) and the doubles team of Jericho Parrett and Macy Phillips (6-2,6-4) 

Tennis defeats Norwell

Viking tennis defeated Norwell 3-2 on the April 25th. The Vikings swept the singles with Taryn Wuensch (6-4,3-6,7-5), Haley Bruemleve (7-5, 6-4) and Megan Leedy (6-1,7-5). HU wraps up season with 8-1 win

It was a fitting way to end the season as the Forester men’s tennis team dominated Trine University 8-1 Monday night at Klopfenstein Courts with HU seniors, Augusto Velez, Martin Vivas, Jonathan Brenneman and Jameel Brenneman, ending their collegiate career on a win.

Huntington wasted no time taking control of the match by sweeping doubles play to jump out to an early 3-0 advantage and then secured five wins in singles action to cruise to their sixth win of the year... Read More...

The HU men’s tennis team suffered a 6-3 loss to No. 13 Aquinas College Friday afternoon in its spring season opener at Klopfenstein Tennis Courts.

The Saints entered the match having already piled up 14 wins since February against one loss to overpower the Foresters.

The Forester women’s tennis dropped an 8-1 decision in its spring season opener to Trine University Thursday afternoon at Klopfenstein Tennis Courts.

Khudziy and Velez take 5th at Nationals

It was an action-packed week of tennis for sophomore Vlad Khudziy and senior Augusto Velez who earned automatic bids to the 2011 ITA Small College National Championships  at Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama on October 13-16.
