Crestview 7th and 8th Grade Girls track teams took their chances and traveled to their first ever NELMSC conference track meet at Plymouth on Saturday morning, May 14th. The new conference consists of Wawasee, Indian Springs, Whitko, Riverview, Lakeview (Warsaw), Edgewood, Lincoln (Plymouth), and CMS. The morning promised to be some very strong track, and it delivered. CMS 8th grade was lead by a conference title in shot put by Morgan Butler. Morgan also got 6th in Discus. Teammate Audrey Hiebel got 2nd place in shot. 4th place finishers were Stephanie McElhaney in the 400M, Hannah Bomba-High Jump, Lauren Sands in Long Jump and the 4 X 100 relay team of Sands, Bomba, Hannah Edris, and Dana Stoffel. 6th Place finishers were Emily Eherenman in the 1600M, McElhaney-200M, Mavin Chaney-High Jump. 7th Place finishers were Sands-100M, and the 4 X 400 team of Ashleigh Miller, Erica Freise, Jaida Smith, and McElhaney. 8th Place went to Stoffel in the 100M & 200M, and Kylie Frederick in the Long Jump.
The 7th Grade girls finished 7th. 2nd Place went to Katie Leeper in High Jump. 4th place finishers were Hannah Williams in the Long Jump, Arienne Butler-Shot Put, and the 4 X 100 team of Williams, Butler, Sierra Estep and Lia King. 6th Place went to Kenzie Estep-100M Hurdles, Marissa Jamison-800M, and Lexy Retherford-Long Jump. 8th Place went to the 4 X 400 team of Jenna Henline, Carley Sturm, Ande Wygant, and Morgan Karshman.
The Cougars were coached by Sandy Willcox and Barb Gressley.
