Cougar Volleyball Runner-up in Tourney

The 8th Grade Lady Cougar Volleyball team placed 2nd in an all-day NELMSC tournament in Warsaw on Saturday. To get to the final game the lady Cougars defeated Milford 25-15, and 25-15; Indian Springs 25-22, and 25-20; and Whitko 25-17 and 25-19. In the finals Edgewood was just too much defeating CMS by the score of 17-25 and 19-25. All day stats for the Lady Cougars were:
Maddie Canady 7 kills, 6 aces, 14 pts, 19 assists, and 1 block
Emma Eckert 17 pts, 3 kills, 6 aces and 1 assist
Alexa Hill 28 pts, 12 kills, and 13 aces
Hannah Williams 5 kills, 3 aces, and 10 pts
Haley Houser 7 pts, and 2 aces
Ellie Lawson 22 pts, 2 aces, and 6 kills
Tommie Mandel 2 kills and 3 pts
Victoria Foster 1 pt
The 7th Grade Lady Cougar team was defeated by Lincoln from Plymouth 25-23, 14-25 and 9-15. Allyson Mettler had 13 pts, Kylie Kaylor and Dharma Jolas pitched in 8 pts each.
