Foresters fall in straight sets

Hosting 20th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University on Wednesday night, the Forester volleyball team learned firsthand why the Wildcats are receiving national attention as they lost in straight sets, 25-15, 25-17, 25-14.

After jumping out to early leads in the first two sets, HU couldn’t hang on as the Wildcats’ scrappy defense and power hitters finally got the best of the Foresters.  The freshman duo of Heather Medich and Brittany Rooze paced the HU attack with six kills apiece. Kaylee Searles tallied four kills and recorded a team-high ten digs. Jensen Carnahan dished out 21 assists.

The Foresters (6-19, 1-13) hit the road on Friday when they travel to Marian University for a 7:00 p.m. match.
